Nintendo: 10 Million Wii sold in Europe in 2008

Nintendo released the sales figures of 2008 for the consoles on the European markets. According to a report on Gameindusrty.biz 10.4 million units of the Wii console have been sold - 180,000 units in April alone. Sony's Playstation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360 placed second and third.

Nintendo also does better in the portable console section. In July 2008 for example Nintendo sold 225.00 units of the Nintendo DS and Sony's PSP is far behind with 50,000 units.
