The Core 2 Duo E7400 with 3 MiByte L2 cache is based on the new R0 Stepping and now is the fastest CPU of the 7x00 series. A FSB of 266 MHz and a multiplier of 10.5 give it a clock speed of 2.8 GHz. The official price is $133. There already are pictures of packed E7400s that ahve been taken in Asia.
The price of the E7300 is lowered to $133 and several other dual and quad-core will become cheaper, too.
