Intel’s dual-sore
Atom 330 with 1.6 GHz and two cores will be released on September 21, for $43 – if you take a thousand units. The processor will have 2 x 512 KiByte L2 cache and 533 MHz FSB. Actually the 330 is nothing more than two Atom 230s combined into a single CPU. Intel had done the same thing with the Celeron processors 420 and E1200. According to
Fudzilla Intel had to launch the Atom 330 to keep their promise of Q3, although there is a shortage of Atom 230 CPUs.
