New high-end cards from MSI and Powercolor

Radeon HD 4870 X2: Powercolor and MSI introduce their models

Author: Marc Sauter (Aug 12, 2008) - Today MSI and Powercolor officially introduced their versions of AMD's Radeon HD 4870 X2.

While both companies each deliver a card that match the default design and settings, MSI also introduced a slightly overclocked version of the HD 4870 X2. The Powercolor HD 4870 X2 and the MSI R4870X2-T2D2G have a core clock speed of 750 MHz and their 2,048 MiByte VRAM, connected with a 256 bit interface, runs at 1.8 GHz. The cores of the MSI R4870X2-T2D2G-OC were overclocked by about 30 MHz.
