In all likelihood an engineering sample of Corsair's
DDR3 Dominator RAM has been used for this record attempt. To receive such high results the latencies of the memory were set to 9-9-9-24. The
Corsair system, consisting of an
Asus Rampage and a
Core 2 Duo E8400, was cooled down to minus 20 degrees Celsius. Because of the 2:1 ratio, the board had to deliver a FSB of 645 Megahertz.
A
validation with
CPU-Z was successful and therefore the result is open to public.
