Deneb overclocked

45 Nanometer Phenom: 4 Gigahertz possible or faked?

Author: Marc Sauter (Jul 31, 2008) - In the forum of overclock.net a screenshot was published, that is said to show a Deneb overclocked to 4 Gigahertz.
Deneb with 4 GHz - real or fake? (picture: overclock.net)

The one and only post of the user Coconut_8 is said to proof that a Engineering Sample of AMD's Deneb is able to reach 4 Gigahertz with a core voltage of 1.175 volt and thereby runs at 53° Celsius only - on stock cooling. Prior screenshots on the other hand show, that the 45 nm Deneb can run above 3 GHz but needs more than 1.5 volt.

The genuineness of the picture is challenged at xtremesystems.org already. In all likelihood the picture seems to be a fake.
