Dirk Meyer will restructure AMD.
Heise reveals AMD's new strategy under Dirk Meyer. Since the company is, regarding assets and resources, not able to compete against Intel the only option is to concentrate on markets where AMD is successful. Actually those are the PC and server markets as well as the graphics section Ati. The fusion of GPU and CPU and a low energy processor for notebooks are said to be important, too.

Additionally to the information above cnet.com reports, that AMD will give away several areas of operation in order to make more profit - mobile devices and digital television will be ceased. TV chips will still be produce, but are a losing deal.
