Sapphire's 22 inch 3D display
AMD graphics and motherboard expert
Sapphire wants to score in other business areas, too. There was a 22 inch TFT with an excellent
3D mode on display. This is realized by two panels, each of which is connected to a different DVI port of the graphics card. The big advantage: You just need a special display driver and the solution works with most graphics cards. It is said that there is no performance loss to be feared, but due to the two panels, this TFT isn't as translucent as device with a single panel. Sadly it is not possible to take pictures or videos of the 3D mode, so one has to check it out for oneself. My own subjective opinion: first-class, I need one of those.
To receive the three-dimensional image, you have to put on special glasses, whose lenses are differently polarized. Because eye base and sensation differ from person to person, the frames displayed by the panel can be adjusted on an individual basis. The introduction to the market is scheduled for next year. Sapphire couldn't specify a price at the moment.
The second new introduction is Sapphire's
625 watt power supply. On the outside especially the red fans are eye-catching. But nevertheless Sapphire wants to supply the mainstream market at first and offer devices with about 600 watt.
When entering the suite an enormous display, showing the Sapphire logo, caught the eye immediately. The screen has an impressive size of
56 inches and a resolution of
3,840x2,160 pixels, that is three times the size of HD resolution. Price is "several 10,000 Dollar” for this device, which actually was designed for professional purposes only. At home no one could really use it, because even the resolution of HD material isn't high enough.
